ACID-BASE NEUTRALIZATION CO2 PRODUCTION SYSTEM
We provide comprehensive technical services for our clients, including preliminary project design, project planning, factory construction plans, complete equipment supply, installation, and commissioning, therebyachleving turnkey projects.
Currently, the carbon dioxide (CO2) used in the production of carbonated beverages and sparkling wines mainly comes from fermentation CO2 (CO2 produced during alcohol fermentation), industrial waste gas CO2, and CO2 produced by acid-base reactions. For remote or industrially underdeveloped areas, the acid-base neutralization method is commonly used to produce CO2. The principle of CO2 production by acid-base neutralization involves a chemical reaction between citric acid (C6H8O7) and sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3), resulting in the generation of carbon dioxide gas.

ACID-BASE NEUTRALIZATION CO2 PRODUCTION SYSTEM
MEA ABSORPTION CO2 CAPTURE SYSTEM
Module Design
This preparation system consists of a CO2 generator, a floating storage tank, a compressor, a refrigerated dryer, adsorption units, molecular sieve dryers, liquefaction units, storage tanks, filling units, and electrical control units. It is designed to recover CO2 produced during chemical reactions and purify it for use. The detailed process flow is as follows:
● Citric acid reacts with a salt, producing citrate, water, and carbon dioxide.
● The CO2 gas is compressed to 2.0 MPa using a three-stage oil-free CO2 compressor. To ensure the stable operation of the compressor, a gas bag is installed before the compressor.
● The compressed gas is further purified through a refrigerated dryer, an adsorption tower, and a drying tower.
● The purified CO2 gas is condensed into liquid form at -18°C in a CO2 condenser, which is cooled by a cooling unit.
● The liquid CO2 is stored in a storage tank. When needed, it is vaporized and heated in a vaporizer to convert it back into CO2 gas. The gas is then regulated to the required pressure and temperature using a pressure-reducing valve before being supplied to users.
● For filling applications, an optional filling pump can transfer liquid CO2 from the storage tank into cylinders.
This process ensures the CO2 is adequately purified for use in various applications.
