Ammonia is a colorless gas with a strong, pungent odor. It has a density of 0.771 kg/m3 and a boiling point of -33.5°C. Ammonia gas can easily be liquefied under normal temperature and pressure conditions or low temperature with pressure. The human nose is highly sensitive to the odor of ammonia, detecting it at concentrations as low as 5 ppm. This strong sensitivity to ammonia gas reflects its safety as a fuel.
"Green Ammonia" technology primarily utilizes clean energy sources such as solar and wind power to electrolyze water to produce H2, which then reacts with N2 to produce ammonia gas. It is a low-carbon or zero-carbon emission green technology.
The world has recognized the significant potential of green ammonia technology to substantially reduce carbon emissions and contribute to achieving "dual carbon" goals. ENERKE possesses the technology to economically and efficiently achieve this goal in the short term.
Throughout history, there's been a desire to harness solar energy for portable use. By using renewable energy to electrolyze water into hydrogen and then storing it as green methanol, it achieves the concept of "bottling sunlight." Scientists call green methanol "liquid sunshine."
"Liquid sunshine" converts hydrogen into methanol, leveraging green hydrogen energy. This process involves renewable sources like solar power → hydrogen → methanol. While hydrogen has high energy density but low volumetric density, making storage and transportation challenging, "liquid sunshine" offers significantly higher hydrogen storage capacity than current methods. This aids in long-term storage and safe transportation, alleviating safety concerns—an advantage of green methanol.
